ellen

Last summer I was flying back from New York City Dance Alliance Nationals on a redeye and was watching Ellen Degeneres: Here and Now with my mom when Ali finally smacked us and told us to stop laughing and waking everyone up.  Now, this wasn't the first time I'd seen this comedy dvd.  I crack up every time.  It's a good one... and a must see.

4, 1, 2, 3, 4..

At BYU I am taking Latin Ballroom 185 and Social Dance 280.  I have loved every second of it.. especially my Latin Ballroom class.  My new found dream is to someday be on the BYU Ballroom team.. we'll see how that goes; they are INCREDIBLE.  On Wednesday night I had my first ballroom competition at the Wilk.  It wasn't a big deal at all, we just competed against all the other 185 classes.  My partner and I made it through 5 rounds to the Semi-finals!  We were in the top 12 couples.. pretty cool.

the RUMBA!!

my band-aid is cute, I know!
My friend Kimber and I with our friends in the Standard Ballroom 184 class Kimber dragged them into and they now love.

What I was doing 10 years ago:

I was in the 3rd grade at Cascade Elementary. I chopped my hair for the first time. I was baptized. I was a flower girl in my Aunt Angie's wedding at the Hodson estate in Santa Barbara, California. My dog Ceza gave birth to 6 puppies, one soon became our own, Libby. I was in Jazz 1 at The Dance Club and performed "Football Funk." My teacher was Jessie Crawford. I was a child in "The King and I" at Hale Center Theatre and died my hair black for it.

Five things on my to-do list today:

well now that the BYU game is over...
1. sit around
2. sit around
3. sit around
4. maybe find something to do
5. meet new people? Helaman Halls is the social pipeline!

Snacks I like:

1. oreos.. I have them frozen constantly in the fridge in my room

Places I've lived:

1. orem, utah
2. provo, utah
yeah.. I'm pretty cool that way.

Five things I would do if I had billions:

1. travel the world
2. get season tickets to BYU football games.. front row.
3. build a house
4. have an impeccable playroom for my kids.. that I don't have yet..
5. put all my daughters in dance.. it's a lot of $!!

People I want to know more about:

1. grandpas on both sides, grandma Hill
2. george clooney.. i just love that man

Patriots and Pioneers: Day 1

For two weeks in July, I had the INCREDIBLE opportunity to go on an American and church history tour with a group called Anderson Tours with wonderful tour directors: Kristy Dimmick, Erica Brown, Sheldon Nixon, and Robbie Taggart. I dragged my cousin, Michael, and sister, Ali, along with me. There were 56 of us on a gratefully large, clean, and new bus. We first flew to Baltimore. Here's day one..
p.s. if you're going to go on a tour (which I suggest you do) choose this one! there isn't one better. My dad says so. And he knows all.

Nina

It's been two months today since Nina has been on her mission. Only 16 to go! I miss her so much but when I get sweet letters from her I feel like she's right next to me. They have her singing every week and she says she's getting the language down. She already has one baptism. GO NINA! ROCK ON.

Art With Heart donations!

Thank you Robyn for your comment! I am so glad we could help. This concert is done annually and it is my very favorite. I am sad that I will not be able to do it again after performing in it the past six years or so... I thought I would let you know how much we raised on the concert!

ART WITH HEART: KIDS WHO DANCE SO OTHERS CAN WALK!
Benefit Concert November 2007
We are always so excited for the opportunity our dancers have to participate in "Art With Heart … Kids Who Dance So Others Can Walk", a benefit concert for Shriners Hospital. As you may know, the children at Shriners Hospital (in Salt Lake City) come from a seven state region as well as Mexico. Each one comes from varied circumstances and has unique needs, but the one thing that they have in common is the absolutely free medical care they receive from Shriners Hospital. This year our Dance Club dancers with the cooperation of dancers from Dance Impressions, and The Winner School we were able to raise $35,271.65 for the kids at Shriners Hospital! This brings our total donations to Shriners up to almost $150,000.00! What an accomplishment!

get out of the line!

why is my blog named That's Soo Funny? I don't even know...It's just something I say all the time. When I become more creative maybe I'll change it to something else. But in the meantime, the person that is soo funny to me is John Pinette. He's a comedian that worked with my sister Natalie in the Broadway touring cast of Hairspray (he played the mother of Tracy) and they became great friends. He is our family's fav. You definitely need to buy a dvd of his (our fav is I Say 'Nay Nay') and if possible make it to one of his shows. He is touring. Visit his website:

"You're at Mcdonald's! I could shut my eyes and read you the menu, left to right, right to left. Get out of the line!!!" -John Pinette

In October, John snuck my sister Ali and me in to one of his shows because it was in a Casino. He put two chairs on the side of the stage for us, brought us into his dressing room, gave us backstage passes, and an armful of dvd's... John is great! He makes our tummies ache!

accepted to BYU!

Happy news, last night I was accepted (admitted...whichever you prefer) to Brigham Young University for the Fall 2008 semester! I have always wanted to go to BYU and am so happy that I finally can, although I do feel I'm still a 15-year-old sophomore in high school...dang it!

10 year journal - essential

I'm a major journal person. I love seeing what I've done in years past and I love seeing how I've grown. I love reading what I did on a certain day and remembering every detail about it. I rarely miss a night of writing.... and if I do, I will do anything to find out what I did that day. Santa gave me this 10 year journal two years ago and I have absolutely LOVED it!! I believe every person that breathes needs one. With the year just beginning, it is a great time to start your 10 year journal. Every night I write a simple paragraph on a page that I have written what I've done every year on that exact day.

If I need more room, I simply write onto one of my 'carry-over' pages.

These 10 year journals can be purchased at www.journal10.com
